As a teenager, Tudor Cisu spent a great deal of time pouring over languages, solving the Rubik’s cube, working with prominent physicians in research laboratories, and volunteering for civic works. And these are just half of the story.
For most of his teenage years, he consistently received awards of recognition for his enviable brilliance. Honors and scholarships naturally trailed him wherever he went.
His name was always on top of the best performing students during his stay at Fayetteville-Malius High School. In many occasions he joined national and local competitions, he almost always took home the highest awards. When his peers were struggling with their language classes, he was already acing the National Latin Exam. He, in fact, got a Perfect Score Medal when he was a sophomore student. But he did not stop there. He also ranked among the top scholars of New York when he was awarded the New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
He is also an advocate of volunteerism. Throughout his high school years, he spent summer vacation as a volunteer in a local hospital and math and reading center.
Tudor Cisu has been as busy as a bee, but his engagements always leave room for personal enjoyment. He enjoys competitive Frisbee and table tennis. He also takes pleasure in tinkering with computers, in programming and website designing.
Tudor Cisu is a complete package of an exceptional teenager- gifted, brilliant and proficient in many practical skills.
Tudor Cisu has always been the envy of other people of his age because of his high level of intelligence. This has enabled him to achieve many awards and recognitions during his high school days. While this is considered to be a natural talent, Tudor Cisu doesn’t stop there and is always looking for ways to expand his knowledge and increase his skills. This is why even though he is taking up Pre – Medicine, he is a good computer programmer and a linguist as well. However, his abilities are not limited only to laboratories and classrooms for he is said to be an excellent sportsman as well. Tudor Cisu is said to be good in competitive Frisbee as well as ping – pong. This makes him the perfect all around guy.
Gifted with a natural aptitude for Mathematics, Science and languages, 19 year old Tudor Cisu has decided that becoming a physician scientist is his best shot at making a difference in other people’s lives.
Tudor Cisu, who is a sophomore pre-med student at Binghamton University in New York State, believes he can do more good by advancing medical science through research than by going into private practice. He is currently majoring in both Mathematics and Biochemistry, which will no doubt come in handy once he decides on his field of research.
Born in Romania, Tudor Cisu moved to Syracuse in 1998 and has consistently proven himself as a man for others. For four consecutive summers between 2004 and 2008, Tudor Cisu was a volunteer transporter at the St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. He also shares his love of Mathematics by tutoring 3-4 hours a week since 2004.
Even though he is currently taking a course in Pre – Med, Tudor Cisu is well – learned in other fields of knowledge as well. Tudor Cisu is a linguist who is competent in 4 other languages aside from his native languages which is Romanian and English. His being a computer programmer has also enabled him to talk using a computer as well. Tudor Cisu is said to be knowledgeable in not one but three computer languages including Visual Basic, Java and C++. He also has a major in Mathematics which he shares with the students who attends his regular tutorial classes. And before you label him as a geek; it’s good to note that Tudor Cisu is an athlete and sportsman as well due to his skills in playing competitive table – tennis and Frisbee.
